OPENINGS
Good news! More wonderful new hotels debuting across the world, and a classic reopening…
02 BEACH CLUB AND SPA BARBADOS
On Barbados’ extraordinary south shore, the O2 opened at the beginning of November, as the reconstituted Ocean Two, with an additional 42 oceanfront and “ocean view” suites — virtually a completely additional hotel. So it’s hard to call it a boutique, which they do, now that it’s a whopping 130 room resort, with six restaurants, seven bars and three pools. But it is undeniably a beautiful spot and a luxurious place to sink into and indulge yourself. Just about every element of the resort is either on or overlooks the pristine white sand beach and ridiculously blue sea. And for those of you who insist on Hamman rooms before you’ll even think of going anywhere, here’s the only one on the whole island.

LE SERENO ST BARTHÉLEMY
After an eco-friendly complete property rebuild, which included upgrades following Hurricane Irma, Le Sereno reopened last month. Located on the beach overlooking the crystal-clear water of Grand Cul De Sac in St Barths is one of the few hotels on the island that can claim a beachfront location, oddly. The hotel is family-owned and operated, with 39 suites and 3 four-bedroom villas with ocean views, a large wooden deck and private pool. With a swimming pool, restaurant Al Mare, and a spa overlooking the water. Being right on the beach there are a host of water sports and activities. “With a new selection of villas ideal for social-distancing, Le Sereno is primed to welcome visitors and offer a safe and unforgettable experience.” Trumpets Luis Contreras, owner of Sereno Hotels.
